Challenge

  • The customer had a complex business that had grown by acquisition and therefore was supporting numerous cultures, processes and systems.
  • The technical debt was growing as was the operational cost of supporting various different plants using different processes making reporting exceptionally difficult.

Approach

We undertook a review of the current business strategy, operating model and business and IT landscape to identify exactly where the issues were and then using our Operating model approach defined a new operating model and 3 year transformation plan

We went on to produce:

  • Clear understanding of the current state, gaps and to-be processes. Utilising a mix of proprietary tools and off the shelf tools
  • New Operating model, new IT strategy, procurement approach for additional support/ IT solutions
  • Updated 3-year transformation plan, procurement process, resourcing, KPI’s and governance model

Outcome

  • The customer is currently 1 year into the transformation plan and has already achieved over 50% of the desired outcomes.
